Dreamforce 2023 live – All the Salesforce news and updates as it happens

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) — Dreamforce, Salesforce’s annual megaconference, is now underway in the Bay Area. The tech industry event completely engulfs the city of San Francisco over a few days every September with tens of thousands of attendees and hundreds of speakers. While the city’s homeless crisis has made national headlines, local business owners and visitors say it’s not stopping the show.

Salesforce’s software helps businesses manage their customer relationships. It’s used by tens of thousands of companies and millions of users worldwide. Among other things, it allows them to streamline their sales processes, personalize customer service, and gain valuable insights into their customers. Salesforce says its software has helped transform the way people work and live, making it one of the most successful technology companies in history.

The company’s annual Dreamforce conference draws thousands of delegates to the Bay Area each year, including a mix of CEOs, IT professionals, developers and other techies. The event is a once-in-a-year opportunity to learn from top industry experts and get a look at new technology and trends in the future of business. Dreamforce has become a major draw for people from all over the world. It’s also a chance for them to network and build connections that will last well beyond the conference.

For those who can’t attend in person, it is possible to stream sessions via the Salesforce event app and through the Salesforce+ video platform. Salesforce says there are over 1,400 sessions and workshops, as well as keynotes from elite speakers such as Bono, Dr Jane Goodall and Matthew McConaughey. The event will close with a concert by Foo Fighters at the Chase Center. Tickets for the concert are included in the main Dreamforce ticket.

Dreamforce 2023 takes place Tuesday through Thursday at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. Registration and badge pickup begins a day earlier on Monday.

Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff has said he may move the event to another city next year due to concerns about the homeless situation. But business leaders and San Francisco Mayor London Breed say the city has taken steps to address the issue and make the conference safe and enjoyable for attendees.

KGO’s Joe Thomas went to downtown San Francisco to see how the area is preparing for Dreamforce. Despite the ongoing problems with homelessness and drug use, the streets are clean and workers are busy prepping for the crowds. The event pumps $90 million into the city economy. Guests are welcomed with free food and drinks from local restaurants and shops. And a free shuttle between the Moscone Center and the hotels around town.

Dreamforce also has a long list of parties, which are typically held all over the city. Among them are free rooftop drinks, breakfast pickleball, a boat party and a wine and cheese soiree. The biggest party of all though is the official Dreamfest bash, which this year will feature a performance by the Foo Fighters. Check out the full schedule of events on the Dreamforce website.
